I love Tolkien, so I thought "Little by Little" would be an appropriate title for a blog about health, fitness, and weight loss. Little by little is definitely a good description the journey of weight loss. Day by day and little by little, you just have to take it one day at a time.
A little about me and my struggles with weight... I was an overweight child as far back as I can remember. For medical reasons, I had lose weight when I was around 16 years old. I did lose some weight with exercise alone. (Thank you Richard Simmons!) However, when one stops exercising, one's weight returns! Since around that time, I've been on the roller coaster of weight loss. I have been labeled as "obese" on the BMI as an adult; however, I am happy to report that I am in the "normal" range now.!
I try to eat healthy and keep exercise a part of my routine. I try out lots of cook books, workout videos, and games, so I hope to be able to publish some reviews. I know I like reading reviews before I buy something. :)
My biggest loss is 50 pounds. I'm 5 feet tall, work full-time, and I have a desk job where I sit about nine hours per day. It's tough to get it off and keep it off, but I thought I might be able to help some people like me with this blog.
